This is the perfect Gown for the end of Summer Garden Party. Delicate lace with gathered chiffon over nylon is sewn together os create a beautiful bodice and sleeves. The skirt is layers of lace and banded chiffon over pink taffeta with a satin ribbon at the waist.
We have made very few of these dresses in the past for our collector dolls and luncheons now we offer the last of this fabric for both the Vintage Mary Hoyer and Gigi .
I love this fabric which came form Vanity Fair in Reading PA in the mid 1950's when nylon nightgowns and slips were the fashion. The lace was banded to the nylon and the chiffon ruffle added. William Hoyer would bring remnants home from the factory for Mary to use in her designs. Stored and treasured this is the last of this lovely vintage fabric.
