Mary's Embroidered Mother's Day Gown

Regular price $85.00 Sale

Mary Hoyer loved Saturday trips to Lavine Fabrics at 7th and Penn in Reading. This is a creation made from the Mary Hoyer collection of fabrics originally purchased as a large bolt to make a bedspread and bolster pillow for her bedroom.  I was just 8 on that Saturday trip to the fabric store and remember selecting this fabric with Nana.  The fabric came in a bittersweet orange or this dusty blue.  It was decided the dusty blue would be perfect in Mary's pale lavender bedroom.   Finding a large piece of this fabric in my grandmothers collection  I decided it would be a lovely Mother's Day dress and remind me of that fun shopping day with Nana.  My Mother would love this symplistic style and "fancy cut" on the bodice.
